StatChecker is now open source.

StatChecker is a betting research app for player props. Choose a player, a stat and a line, and it shows how often that player cleared the line in past games, filtered to the situations you care about, with every game behind the number. The NBA and AFL versions are free to fork, run and change.

NBA

statchecker-nba

Player prop and same-game parlay research for basketball.

  • Hit rates for points, rebounds, assists, threes and combos at any line
  • Same-game parlay history: how often every leg landed together
  • Filters for season, opponent, home or away, rest and game type
  • Uplift comparisons, adjustable weights and break-even odds

AFL

statchecker-afl

Player stat and same-game multi research for Australian football.

  • Hit rates for disposals, goals, marks, tackles and more at any line
  • Same-game multis and a multi builder across games
  • Filters for opponent, venue, home or away, season, rest days and time of day
  • Match context: travel distance and turnaround between games

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Fork the repo

Pick NBA or AFL and fork it on GitHub. You get the full app: a FastAPI backend, a Next.js frontend and the database schema.

  2. Step 2

    Connect your data source

The repos ship with no data. We recommend API-Sports: add your key and the included scripts load players, games and box scores for you. Prefer another source? Load it into the documented schema.

  3. Step 3

    Start searching

Run the backend and frontend, pick a player and a line, and see how often they cleared it, with every game behind the number.

  4. Step 4

    Make it your own

Change the filters, add stats, restyle it or build new tools. Each repo includes prompts for an AI coding assistant to help with setup and changes.

Bring your own data

No sports data is included. Each repo documents the exact tables and fields the app reads, provides loading scripts and lists AI prompts to help you get set up. We recommend API-Sports for player and game data. Check your provider's terms for how you can use their data.
